The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan has conducted control measures in Khirdalan, Goygel, Absheron and Zardab to prevent illegal slaughter of livestock in conditions that do not meet the requirements of sanitary and hygienic standards.

As Day.Az reported with reference to Trend, employees of local executive authorities and departments of the Interior Ministry participated in the raids.

The devices for slaughtering along the roads that do not meet food safety standards were eliminated by representatives of the executive authorities. Entrepreneurs were advised to use the services of specialized slaughterhouses, or to create stationary, modular slaughter points.

The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan calls on meat dealers to strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation.
