“In the last month in Mary, animals die after inflammation of the liver,” said a veterinarian from the Mary region of Azatlyk.

Specialists and the population have to seek help from the district state sanitary and epidemiological service to find out the causes of the disease that has spread among animals.

Many veterinarians do not agree with the diagnosis made by the sanitary and epidemiological station. At the same time, no medical service deals with the causes of the disease.

According to Azatlyk's interlocutors, in connection with the epidemic, fears of meat consumption are growing among the population.

Every year, with the onset of autumn, a spread of the epidemic among livestock is observed in Turkmenistan.

On October 4, Azatlyk correspondent from Lebap region reported that cases of rabies among livestock became more frequent in the Kerkichi, Amyderya and Koytendag etraps.

Last year, an outbreak of an epidemic among camels was observed in the villages of the Balkan province. Along with the spread of camel disease in the west of the country, a case of cattle was observed in the northern region of Dashoguz.
