Russian State Statistic agency (Rosstat) reports that September production of cattle for slaughtering in all types of agricultural organizations increased by 8.1% against August to 87.3 thousand Mt (in the live weight), and by 2.3% against last year September level.

The number of cattle in all types of farms reached 18.9 million head, which is 0.6% higher from last year. This figure includes 8 million head of cows, which is also 0.3% higher than over the same period in 2019.

In September Russia produced 12.0 thousand Mt of premixes for cattle, which is 19.5% up from the previous month, although still 8.5% lower from September 2019.

In total, from January through September the production of premixes for cattle in Russia increased by 6.7% compared to the same period in 2019 at 7.7 thousand Mt.
