The number of livestock has increased in Kyrgyzstan

The National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic (National Statistical Committee) has published the results of livestock counting at the end of 2023 and compared them with data at the end of 2022.

The number of livestock, especially pigs, has increased in Kyrgyzstan over the year.

The National Statistical Committee published the results of the recalculation of livestock at the end of 2023 and compared them with the data for the end of 2022:

  • horses – 542.5 thousand (+1.6%);
  • cattle – 1 million 802.3 thousand (+1.1%);
  • sheep and goats – 6 million 216.2 thousand (+0.2%);
  • pigs – 29.7 thousand (+15.7%).
