The number of cattle in Uzbekistan reaches 12.6 million

As of 1 July 2020, the total number of cattle reached 12.61 million heads. Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, in all categories of farms, the number of cattle increased by 127,400 heads.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 93.4% of the total number of cattle in the republic falls on the share of dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms.

The main share of the total cattle population is as follows:

  • Kashkadarya region - 12.4%
  • Samarkand region-12.2%
  • Bukhara region-9.6%
  • Republic of Karakalpakstan - 8.7%.
