Mongolia: meat prices in Ulaanbaatar were up
Telegram-channel "Planet Mongolia" informed that in major food markets and trade centers of Ulaanbaatar prices on meat have grown.
Thus, in early June beef prices in "Shikhor" market were 17 000 tugriks ($6,49) per kg, prices on mutton were 12 500 tugriks ($4,77) per kg, horse meat costed 9 000 tugriks ($3,44) per kg, goat meat was at 9 500 tugriks ($3,63) and camel meat price was sold at 8 500 tugriks ($3,25) per kg.
Livestock rearing has always been in the limelight of Mongolian agriculture, so the main foods of Mongols are meat and milk. At the same time meat in Mongolia is not only tasty, but also environmentally compatible.
