It is reported that these measures are necessary primarily for the development of the livestock industry of the country. Earlier similar prohibitions allowed to achieve dynamics in the growth of the number of breeding stock for all types of livestock. As of January 1, 2023, the number of cattle increased by 2.5%, this had a positive effect on the meat domestic market.

Meat processing volumes also increased by 7.7% to 176.7 thousand tons.

The joint order of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan is put into effect on 30.06.2023.
