A new meat processing complex with foreign investments is going to be brought into operation in Almaty region in 2022. This was highlighted in website of the LS Informational Agency in accordance with information provided by the Almaty regional akimat.

New complex will be built in the lle District. And its opening promises creation of 450 new jobs.

""Aggregate amount of investments is estimated at 10 billion KZT. The normative period of the complex construction under the given project is 18-20 months. The expected launch date is 2022, " the LS was told.

It is noted that Baumann GmbH & Co.KG appeared to be the project investor in the project. At the same time, the development of the Project Estimate Document (PSD) has now been completed. Technical specifications and capabilities for engineering and communications infrastructure have also been received.

"An exploration of the land plot for the PSD development to bring the necessary infrastructure has been carried out," the akimat concluded.

The project capacity makes 30 thousand ton of meat products annually (5 thousand head slaughtering per day) with further expansion of production to 45 thousand ton.

Earlier the LS Business Agency has also reported, citing the Kazakh Invest source, that German investors are ready to invest more than $3 billion into production in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"The monitoring system currently contains information about 46 projects totaling over $3.6 billion," LS says. It is noted that 25 projects have already been launched, 10 productions are under implementation, 11 projects are currently under development.

Two projects are planned to be implemented in the Almaty region jointly with German companies. And they are planning to begin joint agricultural machinery assembly in the north of the country. The investor is expected to invest $9 million. Meanwhile, since 1999, 15 Kazakh-German projects valued at $623.8 million have been launched.
