As of July 1, 2020, cattle livestock in all categories of farms accounted for 19.2 million head, which was 0.3% up against last year, Rosstat reports.

Among other things cows’ livestock at July start was 0.4% up to 8.1 million head, hogs livestock was 5.3% up to 26.8 head.

"In the structure of livestock, as of July 1, private households and farms accounted for 41.2% of cattle, 10.5% of pigs, 45% of sheep and goats. While as of the same date in 2019, these indicators amounted to 41.8%, 11.4% and 45.3%, respectively, "the report says.
