The adopted amendments note that the resulting meat and offal cannot be sold and is subject to destruction at the expense of the entrepreneur. The order of destruction will be established by the decision of the government.

More than 3 years ago, on January 15, 2020, the requirement for mandatory slaughter of livestock exclusively in slaughterhouses came into force in Armenia, several points of which caused discontent among cattle breeders and meat traders. They organized a few actions of national and local scale. As a result, the authorities agreed to postpone the application of this requirement until July 1, 2020.

Farmers were not satisfied with the fact that slaughterhouses operating in the country are not enough to meet demand, the delivery of livestock to the slaughter site is not provided, and so on.
