Almaty region will export 4,000 tons of beef

Last year, more than a thousand tons of products were shipped to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates. According to experts, this year the volume will increase threefold.

600 Aberdeen Angus and Kazakh white-headed heads are kept at the feedlot of one of the largest farms in the Panfilov district. Twenty years here engaged in the cultivation of crops. Several years ago they decided to breed breeding cattle. The industry turned out to be profitable. Now a large fattening complex is being built here.

In recent years, about 100 feed complexes have been established in the Almaty region. 16 of them are large, they contain from one and a half to two thousand heads of pedigree cattle. This year another 7 complexes will be launched here. This will provide an opportunity to increase the supply of meat abroad.

So far, domestic beef is being shipped to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates. Starting this year, the export of meat to Iran will be adjusted.
