The volume of agricultural production in farms of all categories in Belarus in January through June 2020 amounted to BR 7 billion in current prices, which is 3.7% up against the same period of last year, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) said.

With consideration of production in agricultural organizations overall products production accounted for BR 6,7 billion (4.2% up against H1 2019 levels).

According to the State Committee, in all categories of farms there were produced 931.2 thousand Mt of cattle and poultry (in live weight) (4.8% up y-o-y ), 3.9 million Mt of milk (+5.4%). Agricultural organizations accounted for 96.3% of cattle and poultry production (in live weight) and 97% of milk production.

As of July 1, 2020, cattle livestock in agricultural organizations amounted to 4.2 million head (0.7% down against H1 2019), including cows - 1.4 million head (+ 0.2%). The number of pigs amounted to 2.6 million head (+3.1%).
