Belarus slowed beef exports in November

Exports of fresh and chilled beef from Belarus amounted to 76.85 thousand Mt in January-November 2020.

Fresh and chilled beef exports from Belarus in January-November 2020 year amounted to 76.85 thousand Mt. Exports grew in volume by 0.8%, and in the value beef supplies decreased by 1.5% to $265.34 million. In November, exports amounted to 6.4 thousand Mt and this was 1.5 thousand Mt down m-o-m, according to Belstat.

Belarus slowed beef exports in November

The share of the Russian market was 61.4%. This country was delivered by 14.1% less than in the same period of 2019, or 47.17 thousand Mt. Revenue from beef exports decreased by 16.4% to $172 million. Kazakhstan (19.1 thousand Mt) and Uzbekistan (6.6 thousand Mt) also became large markets.

According to the results of 11 months of 2020, frozen beef exports increased by 15.8% to 58.2 thousand Mt. In value terms, exports were 9% up to $196.58 million. November deliveries amounted to a little less than 5 thousand Mt.

The share of the Russian market in the supply structure is 68.5%. 39.98 thousand Mt were shipped to the Russian Federation, or 9.4% more than in 2019, and revenue increased by 2.5% to $135.29 million.

In November, 900 Mt of beef were delivered to China. In total, exports to this country decreased over 11 months of 2020 by 5.5% to 6,353 MT. In value terms, beef exports fell by 11.3% to $24.82 million.

Also exports in 2020 to Uzbekistan were actively growing. Beef exports to the country increased 24 times to 5,625 Mt by $17.35 million.
