American Beef Export Trade Stats: June 2023

Beef exports came in below what I had penciled for the month, with continued weakness to Japan, also less to Korea and slightly less than expected for China and ASEAN; but Taiwan outperformed.

Beef variety meats were on track, with growth to Mexico, S. Africa, Korea, HK, Indonesia, and Gabon mostly offsetting the decreases to Japan, Egypt, China, Peru and Colombia.

Beef exports continue to account for a historically large share of production and $/head.
