Mongolia to export meat and livestock to Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan and Mongolia have great potential for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agriculture. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeev at a meeting with the Mongolian delegation, led by the chairman of the Standing Committee on Environment, Food and Agriculture, deputy of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Khayangaa Bolorchuluun.
The parties considered issues of cooperation between the countries in the field of veterinary medicine, discussed the export of meat and livestock to Kazakhstan, cooperation between research institutes of crop production, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
“Creation of joint ventures, establishment of mutual supplies of agricultural products could become spheres of long-term trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia,” Yerbol Karashukeev said at the meeting.
Following the results of 7 months of this year, the commodity turnover of agricultural products between the countries amounted to $ 7.2 million.
“I believe that the potential for the development of trade between our countries has great prospects for further building up,” the head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue fruitful cooperation on the entire range of issues in the agricultural sector, and also agreed to create in the near future a working group in the field of agriculture at the level of deputy ministers.
