Kazakhstan: Beef Export Group Suspends Deep Processing of Meat
The Beef Export Group has suspended deep processing of meat due to problems with gas in Kostanay. This was stated by the acting director of the company Nikolai Rozhko at a meeting in the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Kostanay region, Atameken reports.

The meeting discussed the suspension of the issuance of technical specifications for the design and construction of facilities in the Kostanay region due to the lack of gas supply capacities. The branch of KazTransGas Aimak JSC suspended the issuance of technical conditions from the beginning of 2021, when reached full load of gas distribution stations.
As a result, today business not only cannot design and build new facilities, but also develop existing projects. Beef Export Group LLP also faced a problem.
At the meeting, it was noted that the construction of gas distribution networks and an automatic gas distribution station was completed in Kostanay, which should meet the needs of new facilities for gas. However, the station has not yet been put into operation.
A year earlier, Beef Export Group commissioned a high-tech meat processing complex worth 7.2 billion tenge in the Kostanay region. The production is equipped with an automated line for slaughtering livestock, there is a shop for deboning and trimming, processing, processing offal and skins. There is also a waste processing workshop, a laboratory of veterinary and sanitary examination and other necessary facilities. The production capacity of the project is 20 thousand tons of meat per year.
