The Scientific Council of the World Organization of Farmers states the positive effects of consuming unprocessed red meat in a balanced diet.

This was announced on his Facebook page by the President of the Association "Ukrainian Club of Agricultural Business", General Director of the agricultural company IMK Alex Lissitsa with reference to the report of the latest large-scale scientific research.

“The debate about the health benefits and risks of eating unprocessed red meat has been settled,” he says.

And he adds that scientists even advise encouraging the consumption of unprocessed red meat.

"Consumption of unprocessed red meat at today's normal levels should be encouraged as a significant source of dense and readily available proteins, essential micronutrients and critical biologically active substances, and as part of an overall balanced diet that brings together different food groups," the World Organization of Farmers said in a statement.

Alex Lissitsa noted that animal husbandry remains key to sustainable food systems.
