Beef processing complex opened in the Leningrad region

On May 25, in the village of Rozhdestveno, Gatchina region, a ceremonial opening of a meat processing complex took place.

The enterprise includes a slaughterhouse, a cattle carcass cutting area and a boning workshop and a meat processing line. The final product will be delivered to retail chains in a vacuum package. The volume of investments amounted to 300 million rubles.

The initiator of the project is a local farmer Roman Shevtsov, who owns a herd of beef cattle. Now in his farm there are 738 animals and construction of a feeding area for 2,000 calves is underway.


The design capacity of the complex allows processing up to 100 head of livestock per day and producing more than 6,000 tons of beef per year. This year it will be used by 50%. The new company has opened 70 vacancies.
