“The problem of containing prices for beef in the domestic market is especially serious due to the fact that the share of the urban population in Russia is constantly increasing,” Ramazanov said. – The rural population is moving to cities, it not only leaves the production of agricultural products, but also increases the demand for these products. And large companies in the agro-industrial complex are not yet able to fully compensate for these losses and satisfy demand, especially for beef, in the short term. "

According to Ramazanov, in the event of an aggravation of the situation in the domestic market, as before, export restrictions will be imposed in exchange for compensation to Russian producers.

It is believed that the abolition of the import duty on meat will help keep prices down, but only in the short term.
