Kazakhstan bans livestock export

Kazakhstan imposed a ban on the export of live cattle and small cattle of all sex and age groups, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic informed.

The Ministry believes that such a measure “will allow preserving and increasing the number of Kazakhstan livestock in the coming years, loading domestic meat processing plants with high-quality raw materials at affordable prices and increasing the production and export of finished processed products”.

At the same time, the start date of the ban is not specified.

In October 2019, Kazakhstan introduced a ban on the export of breeding stock.
