Belarus continued active meat export in April

Belarusian beef exports did not shrink in April. Exports increased vs. March exports this year. BWM exports vice versa decreased slightly. At the same time, the high dynamics of beef exports to China remained.

Belarusian beef export increased in AprilFresh and chilled beef exports from Belarus in April were 7,1 thousand Mt. It was insignificant decline vs. March exports when Belarus shipped 7,3 thousand Mt to foreign countries. Overall exports in January-April were 1,4% up to 28,67 thousand Mt in volume and 2% up to $101,65 million in value.

Share of Russian market made 57,3%. Exports to Russia in April were about 4,7 thousand Mt, what was 400 Mt up m-o-m. Generally, exports in January-April were 36,6% down to 16,4 thousand Mt in volume and 33,1% down to $62,3 million.

Belarus beef exports to Kazakhstan went up 5,2 times to 9 thousand Mt, to Uzbekistan exports were 8,6 times up to 2,03 thousand Mt.

Frozen beef exports in April were 5,76 thousand Mt. Exports were 760 Mt up m-o-m. Over four months of 2020 beef exports grew 35,6% up to 13,37 thousand Mt y-o-y. In value beef exports increased by 40,6% to $68 million.

Russia share in Belarus structure of exports made 69,1%. In April Belarus shipped to Russia by 300 Mt more of products, than in March or 3,6 thousand Mt of frozen beef. In January-April exports were 12,4% up to 13,2 thousand Mt, in value exports were 16,9% up to $48,06 million..

In April active exports continued to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Overall exports to these countries were 2,5 thousand Mt and 1,48 thousand Mt accordingly.

Exports to China in April were 1,26 thousand Mt. Over four months beef exports to China were 1 774 Mt, this was six times up y-o-y. In value beef exports went 5,1 times up to $7,24 million.

There were no pork exports in April. Since the year beginning pork exports have been 90 Mt valued at $163,1 thousand.
