WorldFood Uzbekistan 2018 – New Opportunities on the Food Industry Market of Uzbekistan!

The 18th International Exhibition WorldFood Uzbekistan 2018 was held in Tashkent from April 4 through April 6, 2018. The WorldFood Uzbekistan show is the main platform to demonstrate positive changes in the food industry of the country. The area of the greatest Uzbekistan Food show is not only an effective tool for demonstrating products, equipment and presenting services, but also a place where a new business can be launched as well as further development of trade and economic relations between countries can be strengthened.

WorldFood Uzbekistan is the only food exhibition in the country, whose business effectiveness is confirmed by world experts. 86% of the exhibition visitors are professionals in the food production and distribution industry, 58% of exhibitors are its permanent exhibitors.

The international status of the exhibition is confirmed by the wide geographic range of the companies-participants. This year, the total number of participants equaled 200 companies from 26 countries, including Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, Latvia, Netherlands, UAE, Republic of Korea, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, and Sri Lanka.

The key objectives of the exhibition were to assist in implementing the Program on Food Industry Development in Uzbekistan for 2016-2020, to demonstrate the latest achievements in the production of food products and beverages, their processing, the latest technologies, production, packaging and export opportunities, and conditions created for establishing international cooperation between industry players.

The attractiveness of the exhibition is enhanced by the economic policy of the government of Uzbekistan. It intends to reduce duties on the import of goods and take measures to further streamline foreign economic activity and improve customs and tariff regulation.

The positive changes have encouraged to the exposition’s area expanding. This year exhibition differed from the previous one with its subject division of pavilions. Pavilion 1 hosted Food, Beverages, Food Ingredients and Bakery Sections. Pavilion 2 gathered under its roof Processing, Refrigerating, Packing and other food equipment. The Business Program of this year included several events and was notable by their scale.

The USMEF has taken part in the show for the fifths time on the wave of the US pork exports re-opening into the country. The purpose of the USMEF participation was to meet new and potential customers of the US meat and to see existing meat importers, loyal customers.
